Caregiver Binder & Elder Care Planner for Aging Parents
Instant digital download. Files are delivered electronically after purchase; nothing is shipped.
This caregiver binder is an organizer for an aging parent's contacts, appointments, costs and documents.
This planner keeps records. It isn't medical, legal or financial advice. For questions about medicines, doses or care, talk to your parent's doctor or pharmacist. In an emergency, call 911.
Who it's for: Adult children, siblings and other family caregivers organizing help for an aging parent, with the parent's permission.
The problem it solves: This caregiver binder keeps the records in one place: who's on the care team and whether each provider's authorization form is on file, which appointments are coming up or still need notes, a medication list copied exactly from the label with refill dates, who's doing which task, and what was spent and by whom. The cost split uses the percentages your family agrees on.

Good to know
- Every name, number and medicine in the EXAMPLE file is a made-up placeholder.
- This planner keeps records. It isn't medical, legal or financial advice. For questions about medicines, doses or care, talk to your parent's doctor or pharmacist. In an emergency, call 911.
- Get your parent's permission before recording or sharing their information.
- Messaging note: send updates only to family members who want them, stop when anyone asks, and share only what your parent has agreed to share. Group messages can be forwarded, so keep personal details brief.
- To get information from a doctor's office or other provider, ask the provider for their authorization form.
- Copy each line exactly as it appears on the label. This list doesn't calculate or remind about doses; questions about any medicine go to the doctor or pharmacist.
- The cost split uses the percentages your family agrees on; the workbook doesn't decide who should pay what. For questions about benefits or paying for care, ask an elder law attorney or benefits counselor.
- Excel .xlsx workbook, no macros; formulas tested in LibreOffice (Google Sheets and Excel open-tests pending)
